The right wing is jubilant over a report stating that White House political affairs director Patrick Gaspard used to work for ACORN. However, the report calling Gaspard a "longtime ACORN operative" is false: Gaspard never worked for ACORN.

Dawn Johnsen is pro-choice, but she never disparaged motherhood. She merely said that taking away a woman's "abortion choice" was "suggestive of involuntary servitude."

In 2004, Van Jones reportedly signed a petition requesting further investigation into the 9/11 attacks. The petition did not suggest that the Bush administration "blew up the World Trade Center," but rather that there were still "unanswered questions" about the administration's inadequate response to the pending attacks. Jones has since stated that the petition does not reflect his views.
